Still looking for something to do tonight? Head down to DoG Street! We have limited spots available for our FREE trick-or-treating which takes place from 5-7:30. And we also still have Curse of the Sea Witch tickets for sale for our evening, spookier fun which happens from 8-10.
It’s a unanimous verdict on social media—our second annual Haunting on DoG Street event is already considered a huge success! Hundreds of families have taken to our Facebook event page to share their feedback and pictures.
You could hear the laughter as soon as you stepped off the spooky shuttle from the Visitor Center. From there, the crowds lined up to show their trick-or-treat bags and wristbands to enter the area of Duke of Gloucester from Botetourt to the Capitol where all the action was taking place.
There were several stops to collect candy provided by our partner Mars, Inc. and distributed by our friendly costumed interpreters who were excited to interact with the kids and parents alike! It wasn’t unusual to also run into a friendly Sea Witch or lost Pirate along the way.
It was so great to see the community come together for a fun, safe event. Lucky for us, some local photographers were included in the sea of excited families—busy snapping pictures so we could share them with you. Below are just some of the highlights from talented friends of the Making History team, Rob Hunter and Wayne Reynolds. We hope you enjoy. And don’t forget, if you want to join us tonight, it isn’t too late to get your tickets!
When the sun goes down, the fear factor goes up. Here’s a look at our Curse of the Sea Witch programming happening from 8-10!
